Hinton Rowan Helper House, the residence of Hinton Rowan Helper from 1829-49 also known as Evans Place is a house in Mocksville, Davie County, North Carolina. It is a 1 1/2-story log house sheathed in clapboard siding. It has modern rear additions. It was the home of noted author Hinton Rowan Helper, who wrote the Land of Gold (1855) and The Impending Crisis of the South (1857).
It was added to the National Register of Historic Places and declared a National Historic Landmark in 1973.[2][3]
