The 1901 Sanitary Board Election was supposed to be held on 15 April 1901 for the vacancies of the 2 unofficial seats in the Sanitary Board of Hong Kong.

Only ratepayers who were included in the Special and Common Jury Lists of the years or ratepayers who are exempted from serving on Juries on account of their professional avocations were entitled to vote at the election.

In April the two elected members resigned as a protest to the limited powers of the without adequate and independent powers with direct responsibility to the Governor. Not a single nomination was received in the April election of 1901 as the public dissatisfying with the Board and the recurrence of the plague every spring.
