The Hudson Bay wolf (Canis lupus hudsonicus), is a possible subspecies of gray wolf native to northern Keewatin, including the northwestern coast of Hudson Bay. It was first classed as a distinct subspecies in 1941 by Edward Goldman, who described it as being a white colored, medium-sized subspecies similar to C. l. arctos, but with a flatter skull.[1]

As of 2005,[2] it is considered a valid subspecies by MSW3, though it is classed as a synonym of C. l. occidentalis by the United States Fish and Wildlife Service.[3]
