Jan Pauwel Gillemans (1651, Antwerp – 1704, Amsterdam), was a Flemish Baroque painter.

Biography

According to the Rijksbureau voor Kunsthistorische Documentatie (RKD), he was the son and pupil of Jan Pauwel Gillemans the Elder and is known for flower and fruit still lifes.[1] In 1665-1666, he was the pupil of Joris van Son and in 1673-1674 he became master in the Antwerp Guild of St. Luke.[1] In 1675, he received a fine in Middelburg for selling paintings without being a member of the guild there.[1] In 1702, he became a member of the Middelburg guild, but he died in Amsterdam shortly afterwards.[1]
