Jerome Dieu Donne Meyinsse (born December 18, 1988) is an American professional basketball player who plays as a center for Flamengo in the Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB).

High school

Born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Meyinsse attended high school and played basketball at McKinley Senior High School.

College career

Meyinsse played college basketball at the University of Virginia with the Virginia Cavaliers.[1]

Personal life

Because of his fluency in the Portuguese language and quick adaptation to the Brazilian culture, Meyinsse has become a fan favorite in Rio de Janeiro.

He was nicknamed "The Big One" by Flamengo supporters and is currently one of the most popular basketball players in the country.

Meyinsse is usually the subject of many local news articles for its outrageous posts on Instagram.[2]
