Kaokoland Nature Reserve

The Kaokoland Nature Reserve is a nature reserve located in northwestern Namibia and is separated from the Atlantic Ocean by the Skeleton Coast National Park. Open to visitors throughout the year, the reserve extends over more than 10,000 km² of wide grassy plains and mountain ranges. Visitors must themselves carry all food, water, spares, a first-aid kit and camping equipment. The reserve contains animals such as the elephant, black rhino, giraffe, springbok, lion and ostrich.
