LMMS (previously Linux MultiMedia Studio) is a free digital audio workstation. Music can be produced by synthesizing sounds, arranging samples, and playing on a MIDI keyboard by combining the features of trackers, sequencers and synthesizers. It supports LADSPA, SF2 files and VST plugins.[2]

LMMS is available for multiple operating systems including GNU/Linux, OpenBSD and Microsoft Windows. Version 1.1.0 is the last major version built on the previous 1.0.0. Ever since LMMS 1.1.0, official binary releases are available for Mac OS X.

LMMS is meant to be a free replica of FL Studio.[citation needed]
