"Livin' in the Fridge" is a song by "Weird Al" Yankovic. It is a parody of "Livin' on the Edge" by Aerosmith, and is mainly a cautionary tale about expired food gaining sentience.

Music video

There is no full-length music video for this song, though a shortened music video segment was shown as part of The Weird Al Show.

• The beginning is similar to the original video in that it shows a shot of an almost-naked Yankovic holding a zipper by his heart-covered boxers with half his body painted black (to give the effect he pulled down a zipper, unzipping his body).
• The next scene shows Yankovic dressed as Steven Tyler and Jim West dressed as Joe Perry dancing in a giant tiled room.
• The following scene shows a glowing fridge covered in mist, which Yankovic subsequently opens to reveal a beating, breathing mass of moldy food.

Notes

• In the original song there is a period of windy silence following the line, "But I would rather be a-hangin' on." In "Livin' in the Fridge", after Al sings, "Well, maybe I should take another peek..." the wind is replaced with the sound of a refrigerator door being opened and somebody screaming.
• During the chorus the words "dysentery" and "do you think" can be heard being repeated in the background replacing the word "everybody" as heard in the original.
• Like in the original song, the lyrics in the parody contain a reference to the Yardbirds song, "Mister You're a Better Man Than I".
