The Los Angeles Scottish Pipe Band, or, more commonly, the LA Scots, is a pipe band located in Orange County, California. The LA Scots, the only pipe band in the United States who compete at the grade one level, have competed at this level since 1998. They placed ninth in the qualification round at the 2008 World Pipe Band Championships,[1] and placed 14th in the qualification round of 2009.[2] In 2007, they qualified for the grade one competition and placed 11th.[3]
