The MV Yakima is a Super Class ferry operated by Washington State Ferries.

Since late 2005, she has been serving the Anacortes-San Juan Islands route. She was removed from service in the spring of 2014, and WSDOT decided to have her drive motors rebuilt. They came to this decision because earlier, the Elwha had a drive motor failure and was out for 2 weeks. They didn't want another out of service boat, so the Yakima has been out of service, shifting from Eagle Harbor, Vigor Shipyards and Dakota Creek Industry for her drive motor work. She is expected to return to service sometime in Fall 2014. [1].
