Oberes Sprottental is a Verwaltungsgemeinschaft ("collective municipality") in the district Altenburger Land, in Thuringia, Germany. The seat of the Verwaltungsgemeinschaft is in Nöbdenitz.

The Verwaltungsgemeinschaft Oberes Sprottental consists of the following municipalities:

  2. Jonaswalde
  3. Löbichau
  4. Nöbdenitz
  5. Posterstein
  6. Thonhausen
  7. Vollmershain
  8. Wildenbörten
