Philip A. Cutler (born October 17, 1988) is a Canadian politician, entrepreneur, philanthropist and business executive.
Education
He has a bachelor's degree in Education from McGill University (2013). During his time at McGill, Cutler held office on the McGill Senate[1] and was a linebacker on the McGill Redmen football team alongside Kansas City Chiefs offensive lineman Laurent Duvernay-Tardif and Winnipeg Blue Bombers linebacker Jesse Briggs.[2] He is also a graduate from Selwyn House School and John Abbott College.
Career
Philip Cutler is the CEO of educational technology company GradeSlam[3] and the Executive Director of Laurus Summer Camp.[4]
In 2013, Cutler became the youngest ever city councillor in Westmount, Quebec,[5][6] the wealthiest city in Quebec.[7] Cutler won the 2013 Westmount Municipal Election after receiving 58% of the popular vote. He is currently the Commissioner of Public Security[8] and was instrumental at introducing many traffic and parking related initiatives.[9] He has been credited with bringing the first pay-by-plate parking meter system to Quebec.[10]
In December 2015, Cutler pledged $50,000 to support Syrian refugees moving to Montreal.[11]
