Pitangus is a genus of birds in the family Tyrannidae — the tyrant flycatchers. Established by William John Swainson in 1827, it contains two species:[1]
- Lesser kiskadee, Pitangus lictor
- Great kiskadee, Pitangus sulphuratus
The name Pitangus is derived from a Tupi word for the birds.[2]
