The Quadruple Alliance was a treaty signed in Paris on 20 November 1815 by the great powers of United Kingdom, Austria, Prussia, and Russia. It renewed the use of the Congress System which advanced European international relations at the time. The alliance first formed in 1813 to counter France.[1] The powers promised aid to each other, the alliance functioning until 1818.[2][3][4]
