State Tobacco Monopoly Administration (abbreviated as STMA) is a Chinese government agency responsible for enforcing the tobacco monopoly in China and has oversight over the China National Tobacco Corporation, which is the government owned corporation that has a virtual monopoly in serving the country's customer base of 350 million smokers, who consume 1.7 trillion cigarettes every year in China.[1]
