Tamarindo Airport (IATA: TNOICAO: MRTM) is an airport that serves Tamarindo, Costa Rica. It is serviced daily from San José by SANSA and Nature Air. Private charter services are available as well. During the rainy season, the airport is frequently closed due to the weather. The closest airport that can accommodate IFR landings is 75 km (47 mi) to the north east in Liberia.

The international airport in Liberia, Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport, is open to international flights from a variety of carriers. The airport is about a 75-minute drive from Tamarindo through newly paved roads.

The Tamarindo airport is currently closed. it has been closed indefinitely by the Costa Rican authorities over maintenance concerns and there are no imminent plans to address these concerns. The airport is located on land owned by the Grupo Diria. According to locals, there are plans to rebuild a local airport near Playa Conchal that will service the area. If you book a flight on Nature Air to Tamarindo, you will be diverted to Liberia, Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport. UPDATE January 2015: Tamarindo airport is operating.
