Tapajós Indians

The Tapajós were an indigenous people in Brazil that are now considered extinct, they inhabited the area around the Madeira and the Tapajós rivers, in the Brazilian state of Amazonas in the 17th century.[1]

The Tapajós river is named after the Tapajós Indians.[2]
