Union Tavern was the workshop of Thomas Day, an early 19th-century free African-American cabinetmaker who achieved recognition for the superior quality of his craftsmanship."[2]
It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places and declared a National Historic Landmark in 1975.[2] It is located in the Milton Historic District.
