Washington Crossing is an unincorporated community located within Hopewell Township in Mercer County, New Jersey, United States.[5] It was the location of Washington's crossing of the Delaware River. As part of Washington's Crossing, the community was named a US National Historic Landmark in 1961.[2] The 3,100-acre (13 km2) Washington Crossing State Park is adjacent to the community. The Washington Crossing Bridge connects the community to Washington Crossing, Pennsylvania on the opposite bank of the river.

Each year on Christmas Day, hundreds of people gather to hear Washington’s stand-in deliver stirring words to the troops and watch three boats make the crossing from Pennsylvania to New Jersey. December 25, 2013 marked the 61st reenactment of Washington's Crossing.[6]
