"Woo Hah!! Got You All In Check" is Busta Rhymes' first solo single from his solo debut album The Coming. The song peaked at number eight on the Billboard Hot 100, and also peaked at the same position in the United Kingdom and New Zealand. In the United States, the song was released as a double A-side single with "Everything Remains Raw".

In 2008, It was ranked number 56 on VH1's 100 Greatest Songs of Hip Hop.[1]

The song was selected as one of many songs you must hear & download in the musical reference book, 1001 Songs You Must Hear Before You Die: And 10,001 You Must Download.

In 2012, Rhymes was sued by The Sugarhill Gang for copyright infringement for an allegedly uncredited interpolation of the group's 1980 song "8th Wonder."[2]

Music video

The official music video for the song was directed by Hype Williams, it features cameos from some members of A Tribe Called Quest. [3] The video for the remix version of the song was directed by Michael Lucero and it features Ol' Dirty Bastard.[4]

J Dilla produced two remixes in 1996. Rashad Smith produced the World Wide Remix, Origin Unknown a remix in 1996 and DJ Scratch the Albany Projects Remix in 1997.

Rapper Tonedeff used lyrics of the song for his 1996 single Kids Can't Flow and Cut Killer used it on La Haine. Redman used vocals of the song for his release Rock Da Spot, later released on the album Muddy Waters.

In 2000, Slum Village inserted the vocals into the song Once Upon a Time which would later be released on Fantastic, Vol. 2.

Girl Talk sampled vocals on his 2008 album Feed the Animals for the track What's It All About. WBBL released Bust a Fuze in 2012 which contained sampled vocals of the song.

Slaughterhouse used the vocals of the song for the track Coffin on their 2012 album Welcome to: Our House.

The vocals were also used for the song All In Check by DJ Butcher in 2013.

Large Professor used a part of the entire beat as an intro on his track "The Mad scientist" on his vinyl album "The LP" (officially) released in 2009 on label: Paul Sea Productions
