1384 Kniertje (1934 RX) is a main-belt asteroid discovered on September 9, 1934, by H. van Gent at the Union Observatory in Johannesburg. South Africa. It is the subject of multiple light curve studies,[2][3][4] and was named after a character in Op Hoop van Zegen, a play by Dutch playwright Herman Heijermans.[5] The asteroid has a high albedo of 0.3.[1]
