Elise Hofmann

Elise Hofmann (February 5, 1889 – March 14, 1955 ) was an Austrian paleobotanist and geologist. Born in Vienna, she graduated from the University of Vienna in 1920. She produced over 120 works, including the book 1934 Palaeohistologie der Pflanze (Paleohistology of the Plant). She was made correspondent of the Geological Survey of Austria in 1931 and the de in 1933.[1][2][3] The standard author abbreviation E.Hofm. is used to indicate this person as the author when citing a botanical name.[4]
