Jan Szyszko (born 19 April 1944 in Stara Miłosna, now a part of Warsaw) is a Polish forester, university teacher (professor of forestry), politician, and the current Minister of Environment in the cabinet of Beata Szydło (since 2015). He was elected to the Sejm on September 25, 2005 getting 7042 votes in the 20th Warsaw district, as a candidate on the Law and Justice list. He served as Minister of the Environment in the cabinets of Jerzy Buzek, Kazimierz Marcinkiewicz and Jarosław Kaczyński (1997-1999 and 2005-2007).
