Founded August 1, 1983, the station is owned by the Trinity Broadcasting Network, under the license name of Community Educational Television.

Due to the region's high Hispanic population, Enlace USA is broadcast in the first subchannel slot, with TBN seen in the second slot; this is unlike other TBN-owned stations, in which TBN is seen in the first slot and Enlace broadcast in a lower slot (usually the "x.4" position).
