In the ladies event, Miriam Ziegler wins the gold, Kerstin Frank the silver, and Denise Kögl the bronze. In the ice dancing event, Barbora Silna / Dimitri Matsjuk win the gold. They are the only ice dancing team to compete.

- December 6 - At the 2009 Czech, Slovak, and Polish Figure Skating Championships in Trinec, Czech Republic, Pavel Kaška (CZE) places first in the men's event, with Michal Matloch (CZE) placing second and Przemyslaw Domanski (POL) placing third. The third ranked Czech man is Petr Bidař (fourth). The second and third ranked Polish men are Konstantyn Tupikov (seventh) and Kamil Bialas (tenth). The top placing Slovak man is Peter Reitmayer, who was fifth overall. The second and third Slovak men were Taras Rajec (eighth) and Jakub Strobl (ninth).
- December 6 - At the 2009 Czech, Slovak, and Polish Figure Skating Championships in Trinec, Czech Republic, Ivana Reitmayerova (SVK) places first in the ladies event, Nella Simaová (CZE) places second, and Alexandra Kunova (SVK) places third. The third ranked Slovak lady is Radka Bartova (tenth). The second and third ranked Czech ladies are Ivana Hudziecová (fourth) and Martina Bocek (fifth). Anna Jurkiewicz (eleventh) was the highest placing Polish lady and Alexandria Riordan (thirteenth) was the second ranked Polish lady. They were the only two Polish ladies to compete.
- December 6 - At the 2009 Czech, Slovak, and Polish Figure Skating Championships in Trinec, Czech Republic, Stacey Kemp / David King (GBR) place first in the pairs event, Joanna Sulej / Mateusz Chruscinski (POL) place second, and Krystyna Klimczak / Janusz Karweta (POL) place third. Elizabeth Harb / Patryk Szalasny were the third placing Polish team. Gabika Cermanova / Martin Hanulak were the only Slovak senior pairs team to compete. Kemp & King were guest skaters.

- September 22 - At the 2007 Junior Grand Prix Tallinn Cup in Tallinn, Estonia, Guan Jinlin (CHN) wins the men's event and is the first men's qualifier for the Junior Grand Prix Final. Artur Gachinski (RUS) wins the silver and Yang Chao (CHN) wins the bronze. Guan is the first Chinese skater to win a Junior Grand Prix event since 2002 and the first Chinese men's singles skater to win an event since Ma Xiaodong won the Junior Grand Prix Final in the 2000/2001 season. This is Gachinski's first international competition of his career.

Maria Monko & Ilia Tkachenko (RUS) win the silver, and Isabella Pajardi & Stefano Caruso (ITA) win the bronze. Monko is the sister of Ksenia Monko, who medaled at the Junior Grand Prix in Romania. This is the second JGP gold of the season for Samuelson & Bates. They are the first skaters to qualify for the Junior Grand Prix Final.

This is Hughes's and Leonova's first medals on the JGP. Suizu placed 8th at the 2006 Junior Grand Prix Final.
- September 2 - At the 2007-2008 ISU Junior Grand Prix event in Lake Placid, New York, Mirai Nagasu leads a United States sweep of the podium in the ladies event. Alexe Gilles wins the silver and Angela Maxwell wins the bronze. This is the third consecutive medal sweep for the United States in a junior ladies event at an ISU competition and the second consecutive sweep for Nagasu, who was part of the United States sweep at the 2007 World Junior Figure Skating Championships.
- September 2 - At the 2007-2008 ISU Junior Grand Prix event in Lake Placid, New York, Olivia Jones & Donald Jackson (CAN) win the gold in the pairs event, Carolyn MacCuish & Andrew Evans (CAN) win the silver, and Anastaisa Khodkova & Pavel Sliusarenko (RUS) win the bronze. This is the first Junior Grand Prix medal for all of the medalists.

- September 1 - At the 2007-2008 ISU Junior Grand Prix event in Lake Placid, New York, Armin Mahbanoozadeh (USA) wins the men's event. Austin Kanallakan (USA) wins the silver, and Artem Grigoriev (RUS) wins the bronze. This is Mahbanoozadeh's first event and first win on the Junior Grand Prix circuit and his first competition on the Junior level. Kanallakan was a competitor at the 2006 Junior Grand Prix Final. Another 2006 JGPF competitor, Tommy Steenberg, finished sixth at this event.

- August 31 - The international junior season officially begins in Lake Placid, New York as the first event of the 2007-2008 ISU Junior Grand Prix gets underway.
- August 28 - Skate Canada announces the end of the partnership of two-time Canadian national bronze medalists and 2006 Four Continents bronze medalists Elizabeth Putnam & Sean Wirtz. Putnam plans to compete in singles and Wirtz has retired from competitive skating and will work as a coach in Hackensack, New Jersey.
- August 25 - At the 2007/2008 Israeli Figure Skating Championships, Maxim Shipov wins the senior men's event unopposed. Ekaterina Sozinova & Fedor Sokolov win the pairs event, with Hayley Anne Sacks & Vadim Akolzin winning the silver medal. They were the only two teams to compete. In ice dancing, Alexandra Zaretsky & Roman Zaretsky win their first senior title unopposed. No senior ladies event was held. In junior ladies, Tamar Katz wins the gold, Jenna Syken the silver, and Sophia Bardakov the bronze. In junior men, Evgeny Krasnopolsky wins the gold, Yan Tales the silver, and Ruslan Mahmud the bronze.
- August 25 - At the 2007/2008 Australian Figure Skating Championships, Sean Carlow wins the men's event. Tristan Thode, a guest skater from New Zealand, comes in second. Nicholas Fernandez comes in third and Robert McNamara is the third highest-ranked Australian men's skater. In the ladies event, Joanne Carter wins her seventh national title, with Tina Wang winning the silver medal and Allie Rout, a guest skater from New Zealand, placing third. The third highest ranked Australian skater was Phoebe Di Tommaso. In ice dancing, Danielle O'Brien & Gregory Merriman win their first senior national title after winning three consecutive junior titles. In second place was guest team Katrina Reyes & Spencer Barnes of Canada. Defending national champions Maria Borounov & Evgeni Borounov withdrew during the event. National Champion Carter announced her retirement from competitive skating following this event.

- June 29 - Five-time Hungarian national ice dance champions Nora Hoffmann & Attila Elek announce the end of their partnership. Elek has teamed up with American Loren Galler-Rabinowitz to compete for Israel. Hoffmann has not yet announced a new partnership.

- April 22 - At the 2007 Triglav Trophy, Gregor Urbas (SLO) wins the senior men's event, with Luka Cadez (SLO) winning the silver and Nicolai Lonvig Siersted (DEN) winnin the bronze. Kaja Otovic (SLO) is the only senior lady to compete.

The three highest placed Slovak skaters were Radka Bártová, who came in fourth, Jacqueline Belenyesiová, who came in fifth, and Katarina Babalová, who came in twefth. Kamila Hájková & David Vincour (CZE) were the only senior dance team to compete.
