Stedje Church (Norwegian: Stedje kyrkje) is the main parish church in Sogndal Municipality in Sogn og Fjordane county, Norway. It is located in the village of Sogndalsfjøra, near the shore of the Sogndalsfjorden. The church is part of the Stedje parish in the Indre Sogn deanery in the Diocese of Bjørgvin. The red, wooden church, which has 600 seats, was built in 1867. It was consecrated on 17 December 1867 by the Bishop Peter Hersleb Graah Birkeland. The architect Christian Christie made the designs for the building. This church was built to replace an older stave church. This has been a church site since the 9th century AD.[1][2][3][4]
