1082 Pirola is a minor planet orbiting the Sun. Initially it received the designation 1927 UC. The numerical designation indicates this was the 1082nd asteroid discovered. Measurements of the lightcurve made in 2010 and 2011 give a rotation period of 15.85 ± 0.01 hours. It has a diameter of 43 km and a Tholen classification of C, which means it is carbonaceous.[1]
