Anthony Ledwith
Anthony Ledwith CBE, FRS (4 August 1933 – 5 January 2015) was a British chemist.

Life
He earned a PhD from the University of Liverpool, in 1957. He was Campbell Brown Professor of Industrial Chemistry at the University of Liverpool. He was Director, of Research at Pilkington, from 1984 to 1996. He was head of chemistry at the University of Sheffield.[1]
He was president of the Royal Society of Chemistry from 1998 to 2000, [2] and served on the council of the Royal Society from 1999 to 2001. In January 2015, he died at the age of 81.[3]
Family
He was married with four children and had 8 grandchildren.
