The velvety fruit-eating bat (Enchisthenes hartii) is a species of bat in the family Phyllostomidae. It is monotypic within the genus Enchisthenes.[citation needed] It is found in Bolivia, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Panama, Peru, the United States, and Venezuela.[1]
