Karolina Juszczykowska (1898–1945) is one of the Righteous Among the Nations.[1][2] She lived in Poland, and hid Jewish people in her home, for which she was condemned to death and executed.[2] She was a kitchen worker for Organization Todt before her arrest.[2] The two Jewish people found hiding in her home (whose names she said were Janek and Paul) were killed.[2] She told the police that she was single and had a daughter born outside of marriage.[2] In 2011 Yad Vashem recognized her as one of the Righteous Among the Nations.[2] In 2012 Stephen Harper, then the Prime Minister of Canada, gave a keynote address to the Jewish community and honored the families of Juszczykowska and Klass and Jetske Dreijer.[3]
