Zavyalovsky District (Russian: Завья́ловский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[2] district (raion), one of the fifty-nine in Altai Krai, Russia. It is located in the northwestern central part of the krai. The area of the district is 2,224 square kilometers (859 sq mi).[citation needed] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Zavyalovo.[1] Population: 19,305 (2010 Census);[3] 22,389 (2002 Census);[6] 21,695 (1989 Census).[7] The population of Zavyalovo accounts for 35.9% of the district's total population.[3]
