Yaki Aithany Yen Tavio (Chinese: 殷亞吉, born April 21, 1989), commonly known as Yaki, is a Spanish-born Taiwanese footballer who plays for Changchun Yatai.
Personal Life
Born in the city of Puerto del Rosario, Spain to a Taiwanese father and a Spanish mother.
Club Career
Currently a free agent, Yaki begin his career for Segunda División B outtfit Fuerteventura. Also have played for other Spanish clubs such as Atlético Granadilla, UD Pájara Playas de Jandía, and El Cotillo in the lower division. On 22 September, he went on trial for Chinese Super League outfit Changchun Yatai.[1] There are sources claiming the Northeastern Chinese club will officially sign him by the end of this December.[2] On 31 December 2015, it is confirmed the club have officially signed him on a 5 year contract.[3][4]
International Career
Yaki is eligible to apply for the Republic of China citizenship due to his father being a citizen; therefore, he is eligible to represent Taiwan. On 2015, he successfully received his citizenship, [5] made his debut for the World Cup Qualification match against Iraq on 9 September 2015 in Tehran, Iran. Scored his first international goal through a stunning header against Thailand during the World Cup Qualification match on 12 November 2015 in Bangkok, Thailand.[6]
