Awards Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross

Oskar Eckholt (4 November 1894 – 12 August 1982) was a highly decorated Generalmajor in the Wehrmacht during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Oskar Eckholt was captured by American troops in May 1945 while recovering in hospital. He was released in 1947.
