Nizhny Novgorod Governorate (Russian: Нижегородская губерния, Nizhegorodskaya guberniya), was an administrative division (a guberniya) of the Russian Empire, which existed from 1714 to 1929. Its administrative center was in the city of Nizhny Novgorod.
